Doing OK

Swallows like to have human neighbours. Nesting near human habitation, they like open-fronted buildings such as barns, stables, and cowsheds. Their nests are built of mud, grass, and hair, to welcome a clutch of two to seven pale pink eggs. It's quite the process, taking up to 1200 return journeys.
